Repairing a Light Fixture?

Repairing a Light Fixture - fixture dangling from the ceiling by the wiresI am getting power all the way to the light fixture, but when I screw the bulb in the power goes away. What do I do how do I fix it?

To tell you the truth this looks old and needs to be replaced. Go out and buy a new light and the electrical parts and wire it up to fix your issue. Like you said the current flows all the way to the fixture until you screw in the light bulb and then it is not making contact. There is an issue with your fixture and it should be replaced to solve your problem.
