You are going to need 1 round sewing needle, thread, and a pair of needlenose pliers to do this job with. There are specialways to do this to not make holes in the leather and get the seams where they look good and do not rip out again. I would go to this site and watch this video before you ever start. it is not a hard job to do it just takes a little work to get it done. www.sailrite.com/
Use a strong thread and upholstery needle. Be careful, because if you make a mistake the needle holes are permanent.
