I recently purchased a Smith-Corona Ultrasonic I Plus and the keys seem to be a bit off. Almost the entire left side of the keyboard does not type anything. Then the right side types the left's letters, but in random order. Seems it needs some adjusting. Any tips or information on how I can adjust?

Did you buy this in a store? Maybe you can return it. It is going to be hard to find someone to fix a typewriter.
No, a garage sale for $5. Not a huge loss if I can't fix it, but I wish I could just figure this one out. I'm a card maker/paper crafter and typewriter font is one of my faves, plus easier to put sentiments on cards with this.
You could check YouTube to see if there are any repair/troubleshooting videos that can help. I am a huge fan of YouTube to fix things!
The other suggestion is there is this list:

Perhaps find a typewriter repair shop in your town. I think there is going to be a resurgence of love for typewriters with so many junk journal artists these days. Type is cool again (which I LOVE!!!--one of the ring tones on my phone is a typewriter)!
Hopefully between these two sources you can get it up and running! DING!!!
