Repairing a Tiny Hole in Leather Look Microfiber Sofa?

I just bought my sofa a week ago and noticed a tiny hole in it today. It is leather look microfiber. Is there any way to fix it? I got insurance on it, but hate to use it for such a small hole. Any suggestions?

Was the hole there when you purchased or do you know for sure? since it is only one week old, I would suggest asking the store where purchased to fix it or replace the sofa.

  • I do not know how conspicuous the hole is or where it is located but I do not believe you can completely remove all appearance of the hole. Remember, you will be "patching" a hole and I do know that sometimes these "fixes" are not as strong as claimed and some may eventually loosen and may become a bigger hole.

  • If the company or the insurance company do the repair then it would be guaranteed for at least 90 days (maybe more).
  • Here is a site that tells the most common way to do repairs (this says burn hole but it works the same):

I would check with the store first. They may offer to replace it.

A diy repair may make the situation worse and could invalidate the insurance. If the store won't help, invoke the insurance as that is what it is to be used for. Good luck!
