My LG front load washer goes through its wash cycle, but stops at 18 and will not drain.

From your description, it appears that no one from here can help. Suggest you refer to the product manual for the code description, contact the store or manufacturer for further help or contact a repair service.
I am having the same problem. first check and see if all your drain lines are open even the one in the wall (just take a pitcher of water and pour) make sure the drain line is not clogged. if this does not fix your problem then take off the front and disconnect your water pump power connection. then use a multimeter to check for power You should read 110volts. WARNING. if your not comfortable with this then don't do it.
If the circuit checks out good then take out you water pump and remove pump from pump housing. check to make sure there is nothing twisted up in the impeller. Spin the impeller and see if it turns some what easily. If you have a multimeter, check for continuity by placing the two leads from meter on the two connection of the pump. it does not matter which one goes where, ether way will be fine. if you get the beep your good to go. after that, check and make sure the washing machine tub drain is not clogged (the big hose coming form tub to pump.)
If all this checks out good, well your in the same boat I'm in and now it is ether a switch board panel or the main board panel but if you got power to the pump when you checked it before you removed it, then I don't know what else it could be, unless the water pressure switch is the problem but the water pressure switch mainly keeps the tub form over filling, but hay, for 8 to 11 dollars why not go ahead and change it, they go out quite often.
Hope this helps.
I did refer to the code in product Manual. Did everything look at everything that has to do with slow water draining.
I had this same issue. It was driving me crazy and after I found out the husband had washed a dog bed while I was out of town, checked the drain filter and it was clogged. After I cleaned out the drain - it worked!!

I have a Frigidaire Affinity front load washer that gave me an E21 error code. It wouldn't spin or drain. I have had this happen before so I knew to check the filter which wasn't clogged, but I did have some items in there that I removed.
I put it back together and it still threw an E21. I decided to buy a new pump and change it. I put the new pump in and still threw code E21. i am not sure what else it could be. Please help.I have a Whirlpool WFW9050XW00, that stops before the drain and spin cycle. I verified 110 voltage and then brought a new pump and installed it, but had some problems.
I took a voltage reading again, this time from board and am not getting 110volts now. Any suggestions? My wife pulled the lid of our GE washing machine model #GTW330ASK0WW,
serial # LG195761G while it was still spinning now the machine will fill with water, but it will not spin or drain and the light that indicates that the lid is closed does not come on. I have a feeling she did some damage to the latch switch which is mounted just under the lower right top of machine.
I have a GE #WSM2420taacc washer. Could this possibly be the problem for this unit not draining and spinning? A bad switch? I need to know the location for this pressure switch, please.
Finding the schematics on line is a start, based on your model number I came up with this site. www.partselect.com/
My Amana washer is not draining properly.
You have one of two problems with your washer. First the drain pump is going out and it isn't pushing the water out of the machine correctly. Second, you have a clogged drain and it is restricting the water from flowing through the drain and emptying out of the machine.
It is a Kenmore front load washer. The propeller of the washer does not spin; however, the motor is running and sound gets generated. Water flows from the load chamber, but draining seems not to be the full capacity. The blinking sign looks like a short piece of tube. Advice would be highly appreciated.

It sounds similar to what happened to our Kenmore front-loading washer, after only eight years. The tub has what is called a spider, that holds it in the washer; it was making a horrible noise. I got online and found that Sears had purposely made those front-loaders to tear up after four years, making it only where you could get the parts from them; it was also whoever came out and did fix it would have to charge over half the price of a new washer.
We just went ahead and purchased an LG, and that was almost seven years ago. It is a front loader, because we like the water saving and gets the clothes even cleaner. I will never buy anything from Sears, a company I grew up with and trusted the appliances that lasted so long, ever again. You wonder why they are slowly going under, huh? Go ahead and put that money on a new, different brand; you will be very glad that you did.
I expect front load washers are more complicated than the top load ones. I think it is time to call a repairperson and see whether this is worth repairing or if you should invest in a new one. I have also always purchased Kenmore, and have great service with the dryers and top loading washers.
My washer washes fine, but it won't drain the water out or spin on any cycle. The guy who owned it before me said it did that to him and it was a bushing under the tub and he put a used one on. Should I buy a new one and put it on?

That depends on alot of variables. The cost of a new washer, how handy you are, etc. My theory is it was already replaced once (how long ago?) and another replacement will last only that long.

My Frigidaire top loader will not drain the water or spin after the wash or rinse cycle. What is the problem and how do I repair it?
By terry from Cape, MO
When I had this problem in a washer, I had a broken water pump. You probably need to call in a service man.
How old is it? If it's 10 or more years old, it might be dead. Otherwise look on web for an 800 number for Frigidaire and find their do it yourself repair number and talk to someone. I used to have a GE washer and dryer, and occasionally had to fix it and got help via their parts/repair people. However we used the sets
each and every day, about 2-3 times per day, and after 10 years the set was toast. Went through 2 sets that way, but happy with them.
My JG 15kg washer can not drain nor spin. It did not display any error code. The self tests are OK.
Please help.
My Ge top load HE washer does not spin and drain. It starts the spin cycle and after a minute it slows down and does not drain. I replaced the pump and still nothing happens.
I have a Kenmore top load washing machine. The wife was washing a load of clothes and it stopped on the spin cycle because the spin light was on and did not drain any of the water. What could be the problem?
Washers won't spin if they are not draining. Check the drain pipe and hoses first.
I have a Maytag Neptune front load washer model # MAH8700AWW. It started by not draining well, getting a Suds error code and then a ND error code for not draining and spinning with any amount of clothes in it. I thought it might be the drain so we removed it to check for any clogs or debris.
It made no difference and now it only drains and spins out the water when there are no clothes. With a small amount of clothes it attempts about ever 5 minutes or so then I get an error messgae of ND. I remove the clothes and shortly after it will drain and spin fine.If you have a suds error code, maybe you are using too much detergent.
I am getting the F02 and Suds error codes. We opened and cleaned out the drain pump filter. It was so disgusting and clogged. Then we ran a test mode. It worked great. I put towels in to do a load and got the same error. I took the soaking towels out and drained the water out. I took off the black ball rubber hose and checked for clogs...nothing. I did an empty rinse/spin. It worked perfectly. I put 2 towels in to check and got the same error Suds error and it will not drain. You can hear it though.
I don't understand why it works great on all test modes and empty cycles, but if we put anything at all in there we get that error. Please help. We can't afford a new one and can't afford an appliance repair technician to come out and charge us for something we can do ourselves. Oh yea, and the water is absolutely disgusting and stinky, it smells like sewer water! The washer and dryer came with the house we bought so there were previous owners that took care of and maintained nothing.Considering you have done all the maintenance and repair work that is suggested on all repair sites there is only one thing left to do.
Step 1
You will need to order a new filter and drain pump for your washing machine. The drain pump thinks that you have too much soap or suds in your washing machine.
Step 2
Go online and search this site www.appliancepartspros.com/
Step 3
You can easily install this yourself considering all the work you have done on your washing machine so far.
Step 4
This will save you a lot of money for a repair man coming out and installing this part for you.
My Indesit WIL153 stopped on the rinse spin cycle of the wash. It will not move on the programme. I tried turning it on and off, pressed the reset button on the front of the machine with no results.
The door will not open despite having the machine off for a while.I have a Kenmore front loader washing machine. Sometimes it doesn't drain and spin the water out. If I put it on a different cycle it will work or if I put it on the drain and spin cycle it will work.
It doesn't always work if I change cycles. We have checked the drain hose for blockage, it seemed fine.My LG Model WM2301H front load washer will not drain the water after the wash and will not spin. If works good till time to finish and then it just quits.
What I have done.
I am somewhat good at fixing things around the house, I have a good basic knowledge of how things work. However, the washer is leaving me all wet.
I first went straight for the easy stuff. Drains are all open and vented well. The next step was the water pump. I disconnected all the hoses. The wiring connecting the pump to 110 direct worked fine (both ways). Then I removed the tub hose and cleaned it and checked for blockage, nothing. I removed the pressure switch, which is for overfill, but I though I would check it out anyway. Seems to work fine as far as I can tell without taking it apart. They're not that much so I getting a new one anyway just in case. Yet still I don't think that would keep it from pumping out the water just pumping the water in. So I was going to check power coming to the pump. Yeah try that with the door and everything off, not going to happen. I know I should have checked power to the motor first; hindsight is always 20/20.
So here is my question?
How can I check or what should I check to see if I'm getting power to the motor? I mean where does it come from, the switch control board or the the main board? How can I check each one separately so I will know which one to buy, if I even need to buy?

My Frigidaire Affinity front loading washing machine won't spin or drain. We have taken the filter portion apart removing a lot of stuff including tooth flossers, lint, and money. They had been so long in the machine that some of the coins are worn down to small bits. After replacing the filter and getting everything back together, I tried to run a short cycle.
It fills and looks like it goes through the wash cycle, but once it comes time to drain and rinse, it just hums. I am guessing that is the pump, and that it's probably my problem. My bigger issue is I cannot find a model number anywhere on the machine. My questions are: where is the model number located? and could the hum be a faulty pump?By Teri A
I have a Kenmore HE front load washer; it is 13 years old. Last night it would not spin or drain. I took the clothes out, unplugged it, replugged, and ran an empty load. It worked fine. I loaded clothes in and it wouldn't drain or spin. Is it fixable? Is is worth it?
By Christine
The lifespan of washers, top or front loading, is about 14 years so you are on the home stretch. It is very difficult to tell what might be wrong from your description. You can request a service company assess the problem and cost for you and then decide on fixing or replacing.
My washer came to the final rinse and made a very loud banging noise. Metal pieces entered into the wash. Now it won't fill, spin, or drain.

From your description, the washer may have a serious problem, probably one not easily fixable from anyone here. Suggest an evaluation from an appliance-washer repair service.
We had a problem with our old washer; it was at least 20 years old and had performed valiantly. Sears sent a repair person to analyse the problem and, as we expected, the repair would cost more than a new washer and even finding the old parts might have been a problem. We bought a washer from Sears and received a $75 credit for the total cost of the evaluation.
I have a Frigidaire top load washer that won't spin. It washes fine and drains well, but the clothes a still soaking wet. It will not spin at all. Is this a easy fix or do I go buy a new washer?
By James wiley
I don't think this is an easy fix for someone who doesn't have a clue (like me), but it is an easy fix for a good repairperson. Hopefully, you have someone who can come and fix it for you. I had the same problem (which is apparently very common), and the repairman in my town popped over, and had the replacement part installed in about 1/2 an hour. The bill was very reasonable. He did tell me that some people buy the replacement part themselves and find out how to do it on Youtube, but unless you have someone who is very handy, doesn't wreck stuff that they attempt to repair, and who has a couple of days to devote to this research and repair, I'd call a repairperson. There is no need to buy a whole new machine.
