I have an Oster bread machine that is stuck in one mode. How can I fix it?

The machine needs to be taken apart and any part that is broken or not working needs to be replaced. A lot of times this is due to the spindle or even a belt coming off. If the spindle is broken it can block and lock the machine in one mode only.

Did this happen while you were making bread?
I'm assuming your are talking about 'cycles' when you say mode?
What mode/cycle is it stuck in?
You can start with turning your machine off and on a couple of times to see if it restarts but probably will not.
The next best thing would be to contact Oster support and see if they will answer your question but they will want to know model and what exactly is the problem - is there a code on the machine?

This could be an electrical problem, as the mechanism meant to take the item from one mode to another is malfunctioning.
Which mode?

I would go right to the source if they are open and call Oster. Their number is 1.800.334.0759. They will ask the right questions so be sure to have the model number handy and how old it is, and describe exactly what is happening when before it sticks.
