I have a Smith Corona Sterling Electric 12. Everything looked fine until I plugged it in and was testing it. It works perfectly except that when using the lever to return the carriage, it doesn't stay. The cord pulls it back to the end of page position. Is there a simple adjustment to fix this problem?

Another poster recently said that Smith Corona no longer supports anything related to typewriters.
