Repairing the Finish on a Wood Piano Leg?

I had a plastic yoga ball leaning against the leg of my piano and it created a reaction with the wood finish. The finish on that spot is now tacky instead of smooth like the rest of the piano. Is there a way to fix this?

I have used a tablespoon spoon of baking soda made into a paste with a few drops of warm water and rub it on with a white cloth and usually works to remove the residue and bring back the shine. Try it I an unobtrusive spot first as I don't know if your wood had a veneer like mine did. Good luck!!
