Your problem may be minerals clogging up the filter. The author of the article I read sawed the compartment open, cleaned it out, and epoxied it back together. You can read the article here:

I have the same problem. When I called I was asked to buy a new mop or replace the whole pump bit for a fortune!!!! Might as well buy a cheaper mop for that price! Customer service is useless!!!!

Hi, my partner had our steam mop in the rubbish pile to throw out today and I thought I'd do a search online and found this thread which helped me fix it without any parts or sawing/gluing so I thought I'd contribute my experience.

Out mop was making the hum hum hum hum noise but nothing was coming out. The unit was heating up and the pump was working so this indicated there was an issue with the water flow.

I opened the unit up and it was surprising simple insided. I couldn't see any water flow through the clear connecting tubes. So I gave the pump a tap with the back of a screwdriver and I saw a little movement in one of the clear tubes. More taps and water started to inch it's way through until it cleared the blockage (which I presume was mineral build up) and the steam flow was stronger than I remember it. I'm assuming it was building up over time and restricting flow until it finally stopped... anyway I got it going and it's now back in the house.

I actually tapped the pump about 30-40 times in the end as I started softly but it needed some decent taps to dislodge all the build up and clear the way.

Inside the unit the water is all completely contained by connecting tubes so when you open it up you can still operate it safely. I still recommend exercising caution and using it on a protected circuit with circuit breakers.

This only took me about 15 mins to fix. I'm stoked :)

So if your pump is making that hum hum hum hum AND is heating up but nothing is coming out - my money is on this to fix it for you.

Good luck! :)

It is not lime scale. It is the pump, no humming sound, can it be repaired or not?

If the pump isnt working its probably clogged, open up the unit and take the pump apart, you can google how to clean a solenoid pump and there are youtube videos for the same model of pump. I used this video ; www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yz5MP76EuZc

After you get it unclog from build up in unit and the pump, fill tank with one cup white vinegar and two cups water and run steamer until almost empty. Remove remaining fluid from tank, rinse inside of tank and refill tank with distilled water, use as needed and empty tank when done and store it empty.

Sounds like the pump is not working.
Remove it from brace that holds it with four screws. Remove input line hose from straight fitting, remove exit line hose from exit elbow. Carefully move micro pump unit it out of housing. (You may want to take pictures with cell phone prior to disassembly) Unscrew the elbow and carefully take it all apart to clean scale build up using very fine sand paper and 0000 steel wool.

Clean thoroughly. Lubricate thoroughly. Reassemble exactly as it was by looking at pictures taken. Reassemble into unit housing. Reconnect input and output hoses. Test for puming action noise. Reassemble unit and run/use it.
Good luck.

OK firstly you need to ensure that the pump is not stuck.People advise putting descaled in the tank and running, but if the pump is not running in the first place this of no help. First remove the handle and mop head for ease. Then remove 8 crosshead screws on the cover (rear of tank) and 2 multi lobe security screws (Torx T10) at the mop end of the cover try easing up gentle (first on one side then on the other) until casing parts. then when you have most of the casing free pull it back slightly as the thin end lips under the handle end. Once the cover is clear you will see the pump with a hose to the tank and also to a T piece. the pump is held in place with 3 crosshead screws remove this and lift the pump slightly. compress the spring clips on the inlet and outlet hoses and move them down the hoses so they are clear of the pump, you now need to remove the hoses using a gentle twist/pull motion, be careful as the hoses do tend to split. replacement hose is available on any online shop (4mm ID x 8mm OD from amazon £6 per mtr). once the hoses are clear try blowing down the inlet of the pump you should get a click and then air flows. if this is the case then place the pump back in the housing without the hoses (1 screw is sufficient) plug the machine into the power supply and turn on. once you have the green lights press the steam button. (hopefully the pump now runs mineral deposits gum the pump up). However if it did not run then we now have to do some further tests .

Unplug the machine from the mains, remove the screw securing the pump and remove. you will see on one side of the pump 2 red wires and on the other side 2 black wires. the 2 black wires go to the 17AM1 thermal/current protection device the two red wires are the live and neutral supply to the pump. To go any further you need to ensure you have the components to effect a repair ( small heat shrink tube/ small crimp connectors, as you will have to cut wires to test further also takes lots of photos of the whole workings then you will not worry what wire goes where!!!!. the wiring is as follows from the housing cover you have removed there are 4 wires red, blue and 2 white wires.
the red and blue are the supply to the printed circuit board under the black cover (3 crosshead screws) the 2 white wires are the pump supply. one white wire goes into (small closed end crimp connector) where is joins with a black wire going to the thermal overload, the other black wire goes from the thermal overload into a similar connect but now joins with the neutral of the pump supply

the other white wire goes into a crimp connector and changes to red, the supply to the pump. The white wires originate from the PCB on connection P1/P2. you now need to disconnect the wires to the thermal overload. I cut through the top of the closed end connector to leave was much wire as possible. once you have disconnected the thermal overload ensure the ends of the black wire are stripped to allow using a multi meter set on continuity. if the overload is working you will get a reading and sound. If faulty you need to replace if it is ok you now need to test the pump which is a 30 DCB pump. you have already disconnected one red wire (short) you now need to disconnect the long red wire in thee same manner. once again when done you need to use a multimeter or ammeter set to 2K, if the pump wiring is good you will get a reading of 900/1K if not you need to replace pump. mine pump was still not working even though the readings were fine. so i removed the pump, blew down the inlet and outlet and using a test lead connect directly to the mains, switched on and after about 1/2 seconds started to pump like a goo dun. replaced it all using the proper clip etc. and now have a happy wife and no real damage to the pocket. hope this helps.

The next I got just melted, grrr. Where can I buy some more hose from that will fit and not melt please? I've tried the internet but getting nowhere. HELP!

As you have found, these are not parts you would normally have to replace and finding the right size hose that will take the heat will be difficult but why not take the machine and broken parts to a couple of auto parts stores and see if they have anything you could use.

You might also have luck checking with a plumbing shop, especially one that sells to contractors.
Ace hardware stores also have a good line of stuff like this.

For best results you should take the broken parts and machine with you so someone can see exactly what has happened and look at the broken parts.

I have found a set of used hoses that might work on eBay. I am not sure if they are the hoses you are looking for or not. Here is the link to check them out. www.ebay.com/.../1001933245?iid=372971319244. If these are not the correct hoses the company does not seem to sell replacement hoses for this unit. The only way to actually get these parts is to buy an old machine that is not working and take it apart to get the hoses out of it. Other than this you may get lucky to find some used hoses like the ones I posted here that will work for your unit.

Have you talked to where you bought it and see if they can help? Sadly if it was Amazon or by mail, that is not an option, but if you purchased it locally, the seller may be able to give you some info.

That or do you have a local hardware store owner you can talk to? They are my go to...I am old fashioned and like in person info first.

If not, my last resort is to go to the various internet gurus...here are a few to try. Hope this is helpful!

Don't forget to wear eye protection and gloves if you are dealing with the sharp parts...SAFETY FIRST!! Also be sure to unplug it! My hubby is always yelling at me because I forget that step :(
