I have a plastic (not fiberglass) tub in my 1973 mobile home. It is cracked and water leaks out underneath. After trying several other ways to fix the cracks that didn't work, in desperation, I tried clear duct tape. It worked! Now all the cracks are sealed and no more leaks.
It will have to be replaced from time to time because eventually water seeps underneath since the plastic tub flexes. However, I have plenty of duct tape and it sure beats the expense of installing a new tub! "Flex Tape" works very well too, but is extremely expensive.

Interesting. I've never seen clear duct tape. I bought some small rolls of duct tape at Dollar tree. It's the toughest I've ever seen. I got black but it comes in several colors.
Have you tried epoxy or JB Weld? I have an old wringer washer. There is a metal shaft that the agitator slips over, and a bold is supposed to hold the plastic agitator down. The top of the shaft was stripped so the agitator would just float up after you filled it with water. I got jb weld from Walmart for around $6.
Gorilla glue makes a clear tape that is strong enough to fix a tear in a plastic kiddy pool, and make it waterproof.
