Does anyone know of any good items to use in place of those bulky rubber mats for the tub that attracts mold and everything to it? I find they're not that comfortable under the feet and are cumbersome.
Any do-it-yourself rubber bath mat ideas so you don't slip in the tub? Also, any other ideas to replace bath stickers and decals?

You should hang up the mat to dry. I had one for years and it never got moldy. It is important to have something non-slip on the bottom of the tub to avoid falls
I use a small towel in my bath tub, works great to stand on ! I wipe the wall and tub down and ring it out and hang it up .
At my parents' home, they use Non-Slip Safety Shower Adhesive Appliques.
Get a roll on transparent non skid epoxy ...there are 2 part and 1 part ( home depot does not carry )either work
great and will.last 2 to 3 years . I use slip doctor cost is 30 dollars .iam atub refinisher....also never use a mat on porcelain..the suction cups will shorten the life of the tub
Ugh -- I agree with your assessment! I'm wondering whether a cut of the thin rubbery material that goes under rugs -- or rubbery shelf liner (maybe they're actually the same thing) -- might work. Certainly easier to hang up and dry.
