How can a light assembly be replaced in my Memory Craft 7500; or can I do it?

This is a great machine but I cannot help but wonder why the light assembly needs replacing? I have never heard of this going bad so I guess I am the curious one..
Hopefully you have a dealership store near you or one that you could call and ask about this part and the cost for them to do the repair as this is a complex machine and everything needs to be in top shape for it operate properly.
Here is a site to download (free) an instruction/troubleshooting manual - just in case you have misplaced yours but you will not find much on the light assembly.
