Whenever I see abandoned broken doors or window panels, I instantly find treasure in them. I think they make beautiful pieces of art when repurposed. Here is a large paneled window piece painted on for the fall season.
Total Time: 2 hours
Source: This is a craft by my dear friend, Laurieann :)
Supplies:
- old panel of windows or windowed door, cleaned with Windex
- acrylic paints including white
- brushes
- pencil
Steps:
- Find a design you like. We used an image from an autumn stamp set. Start painting an outline of the design with white paint.
- Start filling in the outlines with white paint.

- When you have the basic shape of the design fully filled in, let it dry.

- When completely dry, use a pencil to lightly draw your designs on it as a guide. Then use paint to colour it in. Let dry.

This is beautiful, and you saved something from the landfill.

Yes! I used to be quite shy about collecting things like this to repurpose but now I'm proud to do it. It's fun, it's free, and it makes a great scene and/or gift. Thanks, Judy!
