My new rescue refuses to poop outside. We've only had him for two days, but we will walk him and he will come right in and poop in the house. What can I do to get him to go outside?

Two days is very young in your relationship. It can take weeks for the pup to adjust. A crate is a good way to start a healthy potty regime. Talk to his vet about the best size and method for his breed or breed mix.
Use praise lavishly when he goes outside. Maybe keep him out a little longer than you are. Post back how things go!! Prayers for a quick adjustment!!
Rescue dogs can be pretty confused for awhile. You need to keep to a real schedule and stay calm with your dog. Build his confidence as best you can. Time playing with you will help him relax. No punishment for mistakes but lots of praise for successes. Take problems as they come. Keep your expectations reasonable. He wants to please you and as long as you are encouraging he will keep trying.
He might have had an unpleasant experience going outside before he came to you. You will have to start retraining him. Put him on a strict feeding and walking schedule. Praise him when he goes outside and dont punish him if he has an accident.
Go outside with your dog walk around with him and say go potty like a good boy or girl even if they're just sniffing around say good boy and saying the command again potty or poo poo eventually they will go and you praise them with a treat pet them and in a really high-pitched voice good boy or girl went potty and poo poo. They love that attention have patience eventually they will go outside. But you have to be consistent for a few days sounds silly but it works
