Photo Description
This sweetie was struggling to survive a heavy downpour in West Monroe, Louisiana. When I saw her fight to live, I put the end of my cane near enough to her so she was able to make it up the rubber portion of the tip. She climbed up and fell off. Then climbed up again and fell off. I was not going to give up so I laid the cane as flat as I could. She climbed up again and positioned her legs a bit differently. I told her to hold on tight and slowly moved her to the wooden step you see her sitting on. After about an hour of rain, it finally stopped. She spread her wings and flew back up. She hovered there for a few minutes as if to say "Thank you" then flew off to parts unknown. I took this picture just after she had been placed on the step. I stood guard to prevent her from being stepped on by my upstairs neighbors. I have never seen her again, but she flew away in the direction of a known honey tree, everyone in the apartment complex just leaves the tree alone as it is in the middle of the creek. Hoping she has a very looong bee life.

Nice! We have to save all the bees we can. I had them all over my hummingbird feeder so I made more so they could enjoy! Thanks for beeing (lol) bee friendly!
