Reuse Leftover Scented Candle Wax

I've been thrifty my entire life! I don't have any pics because we're moving in two weeks and everything is packed up, sorry. This is where your visual imagination plays a huge part in my post

I use a great deal of scented soy candles, mostly purchased on sale from various places. It's always bothered me that the candle can't burn to the bottom. I get it, it would break the glass. The candle will burn out when it melts to the metal around the wick (safety precaution?).

I take the leftover wax in the candle, freeze and then chop out gently with a butter knife. Save it in a plastic container or bag. When I have enough for a six to eight ounce candle, I melt in 30 second increments in a microwave safe container until melted. I add a bit of Glade, Air Wick, etc, plugin fragrance and whatever herbal spa therapy oils I have on hand to enhance, if desired.

Mix and freeze for approx 45 min to one hour to thicken. Then insert store purchased waxed wick(s), in the middle of a glass container. I save all of my my candle jars, don't wash, no need to. Freeze until hard to the touch and voila!

You may need a bit of trial and error. Easier than it sounds. Food coloring can be added as well (swirling looks looks great). Hope I didn't miss anything, moving, sorry!

Enjoy

If you pour boiling water in the candle holder and let it sit, the wax will melt and float to the top. Let it cool. Then you just have a disk of wax to lift out. Clean and easy
