I found this somewhere on the internet. My son is less likely to eat watermelon but I would love to try to introduce this to him. It might give him a positive idea of watermelons.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rice cereals (separate in 2 parts)
- 2 Tbsp butter (separate in 2 parts)
- mini marshmallows (preferably white)
- red food coloring
- green food coloring
- mini chocolate chips or chocolate sauce
Steps:
- Melt butter in a pan over low heat.
- Add one cup of marshmallows and stir until they are fully melted.
- Drop small amount of green food coloring. Mix very well.
- Remove from heat. Stir in 1/2 cup of rice cereals.
- Arrange the cereal mixture as a circle with a hole in the center, in a greased round pan using your greased hands.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2.
- Drop a small amount of red food coloring, then, again mix very well.
- Remove from heat and stir in the remaining rice cereals.
- Pour mixture in the center hole. Make it flat and leveled.
- Scatter mini chocolate candies or squeeze droplets of chocolate sauce on the red part of the circle.
- Chill for 15-20 minutes. Remove from fridge and slice in triangles.
- Insert popsicle sticks in its bottom edge.
- Serve!
