My Kawasaki compact lawn mower winds over, has spark, and fuel, but takes a long time to start with choke on/choke off, accelerator up or down it still takes a long time to start. I wound the battery flat trying to start and finally got it going. What could be a possible cause of this problem?
There is a switch under the seat. You could try to disconnect it and reconnect it and see if that helps.
I would clean the carbs

My Cub Cadet RZT 50" Kawasaki engine won't start. The battery was low, but started and I moved it and it was running fine. Later I went back and it wouldn't start, so I put a charger on it and got it to full charge. It still won't start, it just clicks. I checked and cleaned the terminals, all good. The safety switch on the seat was disconnected long ago so I am not of the issue, all other safety switches set to start, the brake is on, PTO off, handles to side. There is just a click when key turns and nothing?
The best way to check your battery is to take it to one of your auto parts stores like Auto Zone and let them test it. They can tell right away if the battery is bad or is just not strong enough to start your mower.
I have a 21 hp Kaw. It was running then quit. I had to replace the head gasket when I bought it. The mower would only run with kill wire disconnected. Now it will turn over, it will fire, only with the kill wire connected.
But it fires when let off switch, but won't start. It also does it at half choke. You could have a clogged carburetor, faulty spark plug or bad ignition coil.
I have a 2008 Cub Cadet with a Kawasaki FH 721v 25 hp engine and it will not start. I have replaced the coil packs, spark plugs, fuel filter, and fuel lines. I cleaned and rebuilt the carb, replaced the air filter, and fuel back fire solenoid.
It will run briefly after starter fluid is added or gas is added directly to the carb. I know the fuel pump is working. Anything you can think of would be helpful. There is a switch under the seat. You could try to disconnect it and reconnect it and see if that solves your issue.
I have a 17hp fh541v Kawasaki mower. My motor is running badly. I replaced the coils, but it runs and cuts off. Is it the coil charger that is bad?
You may have a clogged fuel filter or a bad fuel hose
My John Deere gt275 lawn tractor had a large back fire then stalled and now won't start. The starter is spinning, but doesn't appear to engage the flywheel.
The engine is a K series 17hp Kawasaki. I have changed the plug and fuel filter. Any suggestions? Thanks.I have a 20 horse tucumseh riding mower, when I first start it cold I hear a metal on metal clunk after I hit the starter key. It only does it when it's cold !
I have a John Deere x300 lawn tractor with a Kawasaki 2 cyl engine. It will only start by disconnecting one or both coil ground wires. What part is defective?
You have a bad wire on the mower. You can disconnect the kill switch wire and follow it to the chassis side of the mower. Find this wire and replace it.
I have a JD 18 HP. V twin; it's a Kawasaki engine. It has spark at the spark plugs and it's getting gas into the carb and to the spark plugs. It will crank over, but will not start and run. I drained the gas and put new gas in it and it still will not run, just will crank over. The battery and all are in great condition. What can I do next? Please I need help ASAP.
I can't take it to the dealer cause of what they charge to fix stuff. It's a 2005 or 2006 model. Here are some of the numbers I took off it, FH580VBS04-R, FH580VA94857, and KAXS.686N40B. It has been sitting unused for about 4 or 5 years, but like I said I have changed everything and cleaned out everything also. It just won't run!By Tami M.
Try replacing the head gaskets, if the spark is strong...if it isnt, your ignition modules. One per cylinder
