Silver Post Medal for All Time! 293 Posts This is a handy little ring to wear when you're sewing and need a quick place for your needles. It is nearly free to make and would make a nice gift too.:)
Total Time: 30 minutes or less
Supplies:
- bottle cap
- 1/4" elastic
- fabric
- glue gun
- stuffing
- scissors
- stencil
- marker
Steps:
- Using a stencil 4" across, trace a circle onto your fabric with a marker. I used part of a ribbon spool. Cut this out.
- Wad up a small amount of stuffing and put it in the center of your fabric.
- Twist the bottom tightly to close.
- Fill the bottom and sides of your bottle cap with a generous amount of hot glue. Push your twisted fabric bundle tightly into the cap.
- You will now trace another small circle onto your fabric using the cap as a stencil, cut this out.
- Cut a small length of elastic, fitted to your finger. Glue it to the bottom of your cap.
- Glue the smaller fabric circle to the bottom of your cap, over your elastic.
- All set!
- Ready to use!
- Enjoy:)

Very clever idea. I remember when they used to sell pincushions on a bangle that you wore on your wrist. I'll bet you could make one of those, too
