Rubber Band Art Painted Vase - white vase and a smaller clear vase arrangementThis simple idea is fun and never results in the same look twice. With rubber bands in different sizes and a Dollar store vase, and spray paint, you can create this one of a kind art piece.

Supplies:

  • 2 vases
  • rubber bands
  • spray paint
  • painters tape
  • plastic bag - optional
Rubber Band Art Painted Vase - clear vase and rubber bands
 

Steps:

  1. Place rubber bands around your vase, mixing the sizes and angles. Put as many or few as you want.
  2. Stuff the inside with plastic or paper. Use painters tape to hold in place.
    3. Rubber Band Art Painted Vase - fluted glass vase wrapped with rubber bands and stuffed
     
    Rubber Band Art Painted Vase - more cylindrical vase prepped for metallic paint application
     
  3. Spray paint. Allow to dry.
    4. Rubber Band Art Painted Vase - white paint used
     
    Rubber Band Art Painted Vase - metallic paint can
     
    Rubber Band Art Painted Vase - vase spray painted white with bands still in place
     
  4. Remove rubber bands.
    5. Rubber Band Art Painted Vase - white vase with the rubber bands removed
     
  5. Add fresh or faux flowers, etc.
    6. Rubber Band Art Painted Vase - cylinder vase with hydrangea
