My iris are beginning to bloom. I hope to be able to share some nice pictures with you. I'll start with this early bloomer. I've had it for years. Over time, I've forgotten its name. With or without a name, it's still rather impressive, don't you think?

To me, the iris is the most beautiful flower in the world. My only regret is that they don't bloom all season long. I'm sure they can be programmed to do so. But, will it happen in my lifetime. I like to think so.

Many varieties but it may be a Red German Bearded Iris. Beautiful flower.

I bought several tall bearded iris from an iris farm. One was named 'Sultan's Palace'. I think maybe this is it. Some pictures on the Internet look just like it. Others don't at all.
