Drain salmon. Make white sauce of remaining ingredients. Add to salmon. Chill. Shape in patties. Dip in crumbs, then beaten egg, then crumbs. Fry. Usually takes about 7-10 minutes total of frying, just until golden brown.

Hi,
Are there missing ingredients? I've never seen a croquette recipe without some kind of filler, usually bread crumbs (often 1/2 cup). Without any filler, this recipe sounds like just balls of canned salmon with a bit of onions and some flavorings. I ask because you mention crumbs and a beaten egg in the recipe but not in the ingredient list.
Please let me know if crumbs are to be mixed with the salmon, and what type of crumb, because this sounds like a simple recipe I'd like to try. Thanks.
What size can salmon?
Should be dipped in crushed saltine cracker crumbs.
Also, aren't most croquettes in a roll shape? Why isn't this a Salmon patty, Salmon burger or Salmon cake? Just curious.
