Gold Post Medal for All Time! 899 Posts These are the best oatmeal raisin cookies ever!
Total Time: 45 minutes
Yield: About 4 dozen
Ingredients:
- 2 stick butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups old fashion oats, uncooked
- 1 cup raisins
- 1-2 tsp Kosher Salt
Steps:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Beat together butter, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; mix well.
- Add flour mixture to creamed butter mixture; combine well.
- Add oats and raisins, mixing to combine.
- Drop by spoonfuls (or use a cookie dough scoop) onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle a small pinch of Kosher Salt on top of each dough ball.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute then transfer to a wire rack.

My oatmeal cookie is very similar except for one thing. That seems to me to be way too much salt. Did you mean teaspoons instead of tablespoons?
