Save Silica Packets to Beat the Humidity

Thank you - good post! You reminded me that I've been meaning to look up how to renew silica gel packets when they get saturated and can't absorb any more moisture. Here's a good page on ways to use them and how to re-dry them:

Note that it emphasizes keeping the items to be protected with the silica gel in tightly sealed containers no bigger than necessary, so you're not trying to dehydrate the whole room with a few little packets! :D Not much help when you're trying to keep the under-sink cabinet dry, but a good tip for small things that can rust or be otherwise ruined by moisture.
