Saving on Cellphone Expense

I dropped my monthly cellphone charges by getting a 20 dollar cellphone.
My Smartphone was costing me 75 dollars a month, way too expensive, so I decided to just get a regular phone without internet and apps.

Now, I was wondering what I could do with this phone that I wasn't going to use.
What an a ha moment: even without the SIM card I can still use the Smartphone as it is connected to my Wi-Fi desktop connection!
I still have internet from my living room without the charges that I was paying for the Smartphone.
Saving over 35 dollars a month. Yay!
Hope this helps you all to save every dollar that you can and smile while doing it.

Another thing you can do with an unused smart phone is to donate it to a special needs child or a special needs classroom. These are wonderful devices for non verbal children or ones that cannot speak clearly to allow their needs to be understood in school, public places or even at home. If you have one sitting in a drawer that has been unused I am encouraging you to donate it to someone who's family may not have money for this.

Medicaid will pay for other much more bulky and expensive devices but not for this item.

My son is down syndrome and uses his (a donated phone) all the time at school, church, etc. His face lights up whenever he gets to use it. Thanks for listening.
