I had a perm about 6 months ago and the stylist left the lotion on too long. My scalp has been very very sore and as I have white hair my scalp looks very pink. Although my hair is not falling out it has gone very thin. Please help.

Have you complained to the hair stylist and did they provide help? As 6 months have passed, it is very unlikely that the styllist will help now. It seems odd that you are still having problems six months after the perm.
You should check with your doctor if the irritation continues to hurt and your hair is thinning. The doctor can suggest treatment that can help the irritation and, possibly, your thining hair. However, it could be that another condition is causing some or all of your current problems.
If your scalp is still hurting 6 months after the perm, it is time to see a doctor. Although the perm may have started this condition, something else is continuing it.
If your scalp is still hurting 6 months after the perm, it is no longer the perm that is causing this. The initial aggravation may have been caused by the perm, but something else is continuing it. You need to see a doctor to find out what it is. Have you changed shampoos? Conditioners? Any other sort of hair treatment?
