How and when did you get your pet?
My neighbor rescues kittens and puppies and older dogs. She had these three kittens from a lady who had to go to a rest home. I told her I would foster them until they could find a good home.
What does your pet like to do for fun?
This little kitten was born with Manx Syndrome which occurs when two manx who have no tails are mated together. Two taillessness genes will result in some of the kittens or all of them being born with a condition which makes it difficult for them to walk or digest food. Their spinal column can be damaged as well due to the lack of a vertabrae from their missing tail. Some of them will benefit from surgery. This one is doing very well in spite of being born with this syndrome. I have great hopes for her.
This one has a hard time walking on her toes, but she walks on the whole back of her feet and legs. She does get around and happily she is able to eat sleep and go to the litter box the way a normal kitten would. I love to shower her with love and she has taken to running as fast as she can on high when she hears my voice. She really can get around.
Do you have anything else to share about your pet?
She is so adorable to watch. I have them all on formula to supplement their growth and also they are having such fun in "kitten-garten" learning to stay away from wires, not be afraid of people, to be picked up and they are starting to learn how to play games such as fetch. Interestingly, she has taken to chasing other kittens tails, since she has none of her own. She finds them fascinating. :)
