If your table is beautifully decorated and would be difficult to undo just to shake it out, use a credit card or business card to scrape those crumbs into a dust pan or some type of container. I also use the same method when removing pins after quilting, although I admit that the crumbs are much more cooperative!

A small, handheld, rechargeable car vacuum works even better. To pick up pins, use a magnet inside a pin cushion.
For those without chargeable car vacuums this is a good idea. I also find the flat side of a french knife is good too, as does a ruler.
For those without rechargeable car vac's, the back side of a french knife or a ruler also work well.
I found a magnet on a stick type wand that is perfect for those pins and use it in the office area to get those stray paper clips also. Great way to round up those items without a lot of frustration.
I found a neat magnet on a wand that I use to gather pins and those stray paper clips that have a habit of ending up on the floor by the desk. A great time saver and saves a lot of frustration trying to get them picked up.
