Screws for Older Kenmore# 17892?

I need one to secure the needle plate beneath the pressure foot, and one to hold the lint tray underneath the arm. I was cleaning and my wife 'helped' and lost those screws after moving the machine parts while I was at work.

Visit the Kenmore website and order the parts. I have seen them listed there. Here is the link to the site all you need to do is pick your make and model of the machine. www.searspartsdirect.com/.../kenmore-sewing-machine-parts

1. No good. parts no longer available...

2. Moved the cabinet and there is a tile floor with no openings. I have no clue where the two screws went..

You can contact your local Sears Service Center and pick up without paying shipping charges (Google with your zip code) or order online.
Any Singer repair shop will also have these available.

Before you buy, it has to be somewhere right...if you have a hose nozzle on your vacuum, cover it with a piece of pantyhose or cheese cloth and run the vacuum over the entire area where it was lost--do small sections at a time, gradually extending out. This way, the piece will not go up the tube, but will stay on the end.

OR, take a magnet and run it all over the floor. These are two ways I have found things that I have lost.

THEN if it still doesn't show up, go through your screw collection and try what you have.

I am lucky to have inherited more nuts and bolts than any human should have from when my dad died. I have yet to find a situation where something in his "stash" didn't work.

While I did not see any that gave the specific model number, there are a number for sale on eBay:

www.ebay.com/.../i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313...

This is going to change daily. Post back what you find!

I would buy one of those rod with a magnet attached and set about looking for those screws. As you said, they ahve to go somewhere

Also was she sweeping/vacuuming?

YOu might check in the vacuum bag or even in the trashbags if it's not too late (hateful though that sounds)
