I am using floral craft green Styrofoam for a lollipop stand. Green is the color of the party. It flakes so much, the Styrofoam sprays are kinda icky. What can I use to seal it that will still allow me to stick lollipops into it, meaning that is won't harden the foam. Thanks so much!

Try wrapping the block of foam in heavy duty aluminum foil...that should keep any "foam crumbs" from getting all over the place. Good luck.
I'm not sure as I use this sometimes and I have not found anything to use because everything I tried made the foam too hard.
Maybe someone else will have some suggestions.
Why not colorful tissue paper or wrapping paper. This can be the color of your choosing to match decor or party them and still soft enough to insert pops. By wrapping this and using a little tape or hot glue to seal your wrapping on , it can also become interchangeable by removing paper and saving foam until the next time.

It might be better to get a chunk of regular styrofoam instead of the florist's foam. You could then paint it with acrylic paint. Be sure not to use regular spray paint, get the type that is specifically for craft foam. The regular kind will melt the styrofoam.
Good luck and do let us know what you decide to do.
