I have a extremely large pecan tree. I sure would love to know the value.

Is it just one tree? If so, it's hard to sell. You also have to consider labor to dig/take down the tree, haul, etc.

In my area you must pay to have trees cut down. No one is going to do it just for the lumber. It costs about $200 a tree.
So are you asking for insurance purposes--meaning to replace one that is damaged, or are you asking because you want it removed and want to sell the lumber?
This is a tough question because it depends on a lot of things.
If it is for insurance replacement--you would need to talk to your agent. They have algorithms for replacement worth of fruit and nut bearing trees.
If it is to sell for the wood, there are small lumber companies and home carpenters that may want the wood--if it is already cut down into logs and they will take them and plane them out. I don't know there is a country wide standard for the wood. It would depend on where you are, how many mills there are, and if they are buying at the moment.
There is a small contingency of chefs that like to smoke with pecan wood (most like mesquite and hickory) but some do like pecan. Again, if it was cut down, and you could find a business that does a lot of smoking with the wood, they may buy some, but that price will vary also depending on supply and demand.
Selling wood when you are not a business is not going to be easy, but if you start making calls, you may find someone interested!
Post back with an update so people can learn more about what works and what doesn't.
Blessings!
