How to separate large (12x15") Frozen Pasta Sheets? The stack of sheets are kept frozen until ready to compose the lasagna: Though each sheet is separated by wax paper, a sheet will crack as I try to pry it apart from the frozen stack.
I'm not sure if you can microwave large frozen sheets as most likely they will dry/curl at the ends.
Is this homemade pasta or store bought 'fresh' pasta?
If it is homemade then it's possible it was not prepared properly for freezing. If making homemade to freeze please read the following instructions to make sure the pasta is 'dried' properly before freezing.

Most cooks recommend either placing on counter for 10-15 minutes to lightly defrost or dropping in boiling water for a few seconds.
Here is a comment from one pasta company:
"Thaw frozen pasta before cooking?
Don't defrost before you cook the pasta; simply drop the frozen pieces into boiling water.
If you have store bought fresh pasta I would recommend asking the company (brand?) for suggestions.
Defrost in the microwave in 10 second intervals.
