I have an Elna 745 and I followed the instructions in the manual for a rolled hem, but when I sew the fabric will not feed. It is sewing in place. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong? I have checked the threading, the settings, and still nothing is working.

Make sure you don't have a buildup of thread or a piece of material in the machine.
Check your thread tension. Your bobbin case might be getting stuck.
i have found that most sergers are basically the same design so troubleshooting will usually apply to a large number of brands.
here is one suggestion:
Here are some sites that give a lot of information about troubles with a rolled hem. Maybe one of them will help you solve your problem:
www.the-sewing-partner.com/
www.fixya.com/
if none of this solves the problem you can try asking Elna:
I had the same problem. I had recently oiled my machine ... but not enough. I opened everything up and followed the trail of moving parts until I found something that wasn't moving quite at its full range. Hit it with D-40 to clean the gunk out and oiled it up and it's moving beautifully.
