I have a problem with sewing the pet food bags on a machine because the material slides around or doesn't want to move at all, it is so slippery. Does anyone have that problem and how do you solve it? Thanks.

There is a foot you can buy for your machine called a walking foot. Quilters use this to avoid slippage with the several different layers. Nancy's Notions has this, and you can get it online. I have bought many things from them. They even have a hotline you can call and they will help you.
Try putting some textured cloth (as opposed to plastic) medical adhesive tape on the throat plate and the bottom of the presser foot. The tape edges may roll up after some use.
I would put some kind of fusible backing on it, so it wont slip
Change your foot feed to one made for plastic and your needle. That will solve the problem.
There are several items you can buy to help with this but a neighbor makes and sells this type of bag and she uses a strong tread with a sturdy needle. A sewing machine fitted with a 90/14 medium-weight needle is what was recommended but she generally uses a 16 and has said that she works very slowly or the bag will slide around.
A local quilting shop gave her a lot of information about making these bags but her original instructions came from this web site:

She also used some suggestions from our own Thriftyfun web site:

Try a different foot on your machine. Just try all of them. One should work.
