Shelf Life of Home Canned Fruit?

I canned nectarines last year in September. Some of the fruit in the jars I have left are darker, are they safe to eat?

Some fruits do discolor, due to the light that gets thru the cans, and the fact there are no added preservatives. My canned goods sometimes don't get eaten for 2-3 years. Peaches sometimes get darker and so does apple.
Normally, if they are bad, they will have mold, or a smell and the lid will not still be sealed.
