I am looking for a crochet pattern for a shell stich baby afghan. It was originally sold in kit form at Lee Wards. The baby is due in early December! Please advise if you know where I can obtain a copy of the pattern. I have tried several pattern sites with no results.

Well, goodness gracious sakes alive, I found another one, actually there are several online. This one shows a close up picture and looks so pretty.

I have a pattern for a baby afghan that is not the one you are looking for but an old one that my mother in law had from many years ago. It is beautiful, with the shells in the center making a total square, a flat single crocheted border around the square and then a shelled edging around the afghan to finish it. I have made many afghans with this pattern and have had many many compliments on it.
Email me if you would like the pattern, okay? (08/29/2005)
I found this at the about.com site. Hope it helps.

I think I have the pattern you are looking for. I have had it since the 1970's. It is made with a shell stitch and a 6 sc chain. If you think this is the correct pattern please contact me . (12/09/2006)
