Silver Post Medal for All Time! 293 Posts This is a nice instant gratification project. Made with cotton yarn, it is a nice shell patterned headband for children or adults. And not a single pesky end to weave in...yay! Have fun. :)

Supplies:
- about 23 yards worsted weight #4 cotton yarn
- "H" crochet hook
- scissors
Steps:
- Chain 48.
- 1 double crochet in 4th ch from hook = 2 dc
- **Your ch 3 counts as a dc**
- Ch 3, turn. 1 dc in the same space as the ch and in the next stitch = 3 dc
- Ch 3, turn. 1 dc in the same space and in each of the rest = 4 dc
- Ch 3, turn. 1 dc in the same space and in each of the rest = 5dc
- Ch 3, turn. 1 dc in the same space and in each of the rest = 6dc
- Ch 3, turn. 1 dc in the same space and in each of the rest = 7dc
- Ch 3, turn. Skip 2 stitches, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in the next stitch. Skip 2 stitches, 1 dc in the last stitch = 6 dc, 2 ch
- Ch 3, turn. Work 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in the ch 2 space. 1 dc in the last stitch.
- Repeat the last step 10 times more for a total of 12 shell rows.
- Ch 3, turn. 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc, ch space, and remaining 3 stitches = 7dc
- Ch 3, turn. 1 dc in each of the next 4 stitches, double crochet decrease in the last 2 stitches = 6dc
- Ch 3, turn. 1 dc in each of the next 3 stitches, dc decrease in the last 2 stitches = 5dc
- Ch 3, turn. 1 dc in each of the next 2 stitches, dc decrease in the last 2 stitches = 4dc
- Ch 3, turn. 1 dc in the next stitch, dc decrease in the last 2 stitches = 3dc
- Ch 3, turn. Dc decrease = 2 dc
- Ch 45 for your other tie.
- Make an overhand knot with each end and trim.
