Shimmery Shamrock Pin

Kids will love creating and wearing this glitz shamrock pin on St. Patrick's Day. A quick and fun project.

Approximate Time: About 1 hour

Supplies:

• 3 small wooden hearts
• scrap piece of green craft foam
• green acrylic paint
• craft glue
• green glitter
• pin back
• scissors
• paint brush or cotton swab
• paper plate or paper towel

Instructions:

1. Put a paper plate or paper towel on your work surface to avoid getting paint, glue, and glitter on it. Using a paint brush or cotton swab, paint one side and the edges of all three hearts. Set aside to dry.

2. Cut the shamrock stem from the scrap of craft foam. Glue the edges of all three hearts together to form the shamrock (refer to photo). Allow the glue to dry.

3. Use a cotton swab or old paint brush to brush the top of the shamrock with a thin layer of glue. Sprinkle green glitter onto the wet glue. Let the glue dry and then tap off any excess glitter.

   Glue the stem to back of shamrock and glue on a pin back. Allow glue to dry before wearing.
