Do you have a problem with gnats in the house? They could be breeding in your drains. If you have plastic pipes, you can check your drains by shining a flashlight behind the pipe. It lights up the drain.

You won't actually be able to see drain flies but you will be able to see if there is a lot of gunk in the pipe. Hope this helps.
