My girl friend used to make flannel fleece blankets for me all the time, the knot tie type where she would purchase two types of fabric, usually sports teams, or something I am into and another side would be a solid color. Now that she is gone, I went to make one on my own and I noticed the price of fabric is really high.
Does anyone know a place where I can buy good to decent quality fabric for a good price?
If I can not find a good place to buy the fabric I might just buy an already made blanket since it seems just as affordable, and in some places cheaper.
My friend said she loves this site for flannel blankets; anyone else get anything from them? http://www.homesoftthings.com/flannel-throw-blankets/

Many times when I need material/fabric for a new project I check local Salvation Army/thrift stores, thrift and garage sales. They cost a fraction of the price and sometimes I get lucky enough to find brand new items (with their price tags still on them!) I use this tactic for buttons and other more expensive accessories too!
