Great idea! I do a similar thing as I'm a renter. I use a store bought corner-shower-caddy and attach it to the shower wall with 4 of those picture hanging strips. They're strong enough to hold large size shampoos, conditioners, bodywashes. When it comes time to vacate, I find the easiest way to remove the strips is with a pair of pliers. Pull down with the pliers, not straight out, and they remove cleanly.
I love your idea. I needed something to make it easy to take my shower accessories to the gym. Showers there have no space for bottles of shampoo, etc. I searched for a shower caddy and couldn't find any that worked well. I finally found a lanyard configuration that will hang from the faucet or a soap dish and works well. The one I saw retail was @$20. So I did what I always do and looked around to see what I had on hand.
