I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado and periodically all the dashboard lights come on while I am driving and then go off. It has more than 300,000 miles. What could be causing this?

You have a short in your electrical system. You need to get the car serviced.
A problem with wiring,instrument cluster(service check).
Does your truck have the automatic headlights(has a small domed sensor in the middle of the dash about 2 to 3 inches from the bottom of the center of the windshield)? If so, and you have your headlight switched to that setting, it could be the sensor is calling for headlights if ambient light outside is dim.
