I am making these for a charitable donation to a local police station to give to children who may be facing a traumatic situation. They are simple to make and you can use small scraps of fabric and ribbon and a little stuffing, so they are inexpensive. Just requires your time.

Supplies:
- fabric
- ribbon
- thread
- scissors
- sewing machine
- pins
- stuffing
- embroidery floss
Steps:
- Print and cut out the pattern pieces from the link. Pin to fabric and cut out as directed on pattern piece. You will end up having two fronts and two backs.
- Pin the front "middle" section together and repeat for the back "middle section." Sew. Clip curves. Pin front to back, right sides together, leaving an opening on one of the sides of the bear. Sew. Turn right side out. Sew across the bottom of each ear. These will not be stuffed.
- Stuff the bear through the opening starting with the head and arms. After the arms are stuffed, sew across the end of the arms. Stuff the body and legs. After the legs are stuffed, sew across the top of the legs. These steps allow for the bear to be in a sitting position. Hand sew the opening closed.
- Using black embroidery floss, embroider eyes and nose onto the front of the bear. This could be done before stuffing the bear but I find it easier to do as the last step since the stuffing may change the shape of the bear's face. Add a ribbon around the bear's neck if desired.
