I bought a Singer 6268 embroidery machine and it works, but not with a cartridge. Can anyone help me find out how to get it to work?

Did you but this from a store or a person?
I ask because I was gifted a sewing machine many years ago and was told all the attachments were for the machine. Turned out almost none of the attachments belonged to the machine, which explained why I couldn't get the ruffler I dreamed about to ruffle.
This was a family gift, so I could never say anything, but if you bought it from a store or person, ask them to show you how to use it.

I`m working on a singer 6268. The problem is the upper shaft is really tight. The hand wheel is hard to turn and the RPM by motor is around 100 Will this manual cover this and what is the charge?
