Slogan for Doggie Daycare and Boarding

Slogan for Doggy Daycare and Boarding Business? - woman surrounded by dogs
I have opened a doggy daycare and boarding business because of my own two dogs, who have unique concerns. I'm looking for a tagline/slogan that makes my place stand out, as you always see happy dogs playing. But what about dogs that have trouble fitting in at other daycares or boarding facilities, and pet parents who need help because they've dogs who are anxious or simply in need of a little extra TLC, or neurotic pet parents like me that have dogs with challenges or need help with pups.

How about something like:

Doggy Daycare and Boarding, where ALL dogs get extra TLC.

Or:

Doggy Daycare and Boarding where even Pooches with unique concerns are welcomed.

Candy,
Maybe something along the lines of:

"Happy, Anxious, Timid and Special Care Dogs....I make a difference for them ALL and their owners"

September 5, 20200 found this helpful

My business name is Candys Precious Paws. I have helped clients & their dogs & I can tell you that there's nothing that can beat seeing a dogs become more confident. Back to slogan/ tagline. I need to stand out and the message needs to be clear so that they know with 1st glance & I do help solve the problem without extra charge

I really appreciate your ideas, But I can't say all dogs as it means aggressive dogs as well. Imagine your dog is your child & your dog is TIMID or Anxious or loves to play but in a small group as a whole lot of dogs scares both you & your dog, You've had trouble training your puppy & what I'm trying to tell clients is that I'm not like other daycares and boarding.

This may help when I say to you doggy daycare and boarding what's the 1st thing that comes to mind? Whole lot of EXCITED dogs playing & running. Now I'm offering the a place where dogs who are socialized but have trouble finding a comfortable fit in daycares & need extra TLC & that neurotic dog moms like myself finally have a place where they know their fur baby will get help & never be left to one side a place designed exclusively for them

Know I've asked before but tagline/slogan is very important as clients won't know I'm a different. My tagline needs to stand out why I'm different. Doggy Daycare + Home Away from home that is created only for non aggressive dogs who have difficulty finding a comfortable fit in other daycares can't stay in kennels, anxious, newly adopted, scared of loud noises.

Important clients know I've designed perfect home environment, I'm hands on don't just look after their dogs but have had great success in helping dogs become confident, learn to socialize + calm. Thank you so much

What is your business' full name? You had some great suggestions in your previous ask so maybe with more info, there can be more targeted brainstorming for you.

If your business name is a long name, then you need a short tag line. If you have a short name, then a longer tag line will be better.

Also what may help is is understand who your ideal HUMAN client is. We understand the dogs you care for, but you are speaking to their "parents". What do they need to hear?

What age pet parents are you looking to serve?

Are these first time dog owners--maybe couples or single women in their 20-30s so they have no frame of reference for using a doggy day care at all, let alone having a safe place for their anxious dog?

Or are these experienced pet parents, maybe in their 40s-50s who have used doggy daycare before and maybe now they have a special needs dog or their usual day care situation is gone and they need to learn about you?

These two groups would need to hear slightly different messages in a tag line.

A tag line should be a tip to them to hear more...so you can give them your full pitch and have them buy your services. It should not give everything at once--that would overwhelm them.

If you have testimonials, those are going to speak more to any pet parent than a tag line alone. The business name is the interest piquer (so to speak), the tag line is the appetizer, the testimonials are the seal the deal full course meal! I like to focus more on the testimonials so you can get to the dessert! In my own business, people could care less about my business name or my tag line (I have both)--all of my clients come from referrals...so that is why I think it is important to focus more on doing a great job, getting testimonials and referrals. The rest is gravy!

Maybe with some more info, we can brainstorm better for you!

Continued blessings on your venture!

Thanks for the additional info. How about a tag line of

Offering White Glove Care For Your Special Needs Fur Child

I checked out your Facebook page and it looks like you have a great start.

Does your country have any resources available to help you with marketing? In the US we have the Small Business Development Centers and much of what they offer is free.

I am also a small business owner and I can see some things on your page that were some of the same challenges I ran into when I started my business. Some of my lessons learned were:

1. Good photography is critical to getting your message across. You have some really cute photos, but many are are dark and/or blurry. We were told only post your best photos--even if it means you only post once a week--it is all about quality over quantity.

2. Sell what makes you different. Since your love of the special fur kids is your selling point and your care your hallmark, you need photos of YOU (and your staff) interacting with the pets--not just the pets. You need high quality photos to convey the love these fur kids will get when you are caring for them. Right now, there are lots of pet photos, but only the (blurry) photo of a person with a pet in the little circle conveys the love you have for those in your care.

3. Don't use photos that will make people go hmmmm...There are photos of old tires with chipped paint and what looks like a hose across the yard. Those pictures were concerning to me as a pet parent as chipping paint is dangerous and the hose is a tripping accident waiting to happen (for dogs and humans).

4. The link to your website does not work. Better to take it off until it works than to have a dead link.

5. There is way too much text on your page and in your header. People don't want to read and if they see too many words, they scroll by. I totally get the irony here--because this answer long, but you have to SHOW (not tell) your clients how you solve their problem in less than 5 seconds--which is what the average scroll time is on social media.

If you are going to keep all of the text, the spacing needs to be shored up, there are typos that need to be corrected, and the punctuation needs to be consistent.

Sending you all good wishes for your success!! Blessings!!

It is hard to have a business everywhere! Maybe South Africa is different than the US, but most small businesses start by sharing their story and their vision and mission without a tag line. I feel like you are fretting too much about this and not actively seeking to use all of the great things you have first.

The best way to market a small business is 90% by word of mouth and the rest by advertising. You have clients already, capitalize on those people who love your services and have them be your ambassadors. Make it worth their while if you can, for example, can you offer your existing clients a referral bonus if they refer you and you get new clients? Like one hour free?

The other thing you can do is to put all of your stories in blog format on a website for your business and then have business cards with the website that people can check out for more info.

Share your passion and really GOOD photos there and on Facebook. Remember, quality is everything!

There are other REALLY LOW cost things you can do that will not need a tag line...but can get your name out there...

Perhaps you can share your cards with veterinarian offices, pet stores, and other complimentary businesses. Talk to them about your passion, share your website and stories with them and ask them if they can refer you.

Also, what about getting your name out to hotels to offer your services to their guests.

There is plenty you can do to get your business name out there that is not going to cost a lot. I was in business for 3 years before I had a tag line and the only reason I got one was because I thought up something clever. I still don't have official "colors" for business or fonts or any of the other stuff that don't give me any return on investment (ROI).

My ROI comes from doing a great job for my clients and them referring me. I hope you can find that same success!!

Prayers and blessings on your venture!

PS: There are lots of great free resources online to help you learn about marketing. Here is one of my favorite links:www.chatham.edu/.../

The marketing tab has guidance that can be used anywhere.

I have a doggie daycare and sleepover at my home. It's my passion and I know dogs that have separation anxiety, dogs that are nervous, and owners who are nervous to leave their dogs.

I've had great success with these dogs, but I need your help with a powerful heading or slogan. Please.
