Small Bottles for Plant Cuttings

A cutting of coleus in a small recycled jar.I save all sorts of small glass, and plastic, bottles, fill them with water and use them for rooting cuttings. It is a very productive and interesting pastime, looking to see how the roots develop over time. You can then pot up your plants when the cuttings are well rooted.

I keep the bottles indoors near a window. It is always a pleasure to see a little greenery growing especially in these dark and cold wintery days. I am rooting coleus at the moment.

I'm also rooting coleus plants - mine were so beautiful this year outside and I didn't know I could root them and have the same ones next year!
