I receive disability every month and I want to get married. My boyfriend owes lots of back child support; would that affect my benefits?

This is a question for social security. Make an appointment and bring proper documentation
What your boyfriend owes in back child support may not affect your disability benefits but getting married may.
Adding your husbands income to your stated income to Social Security when applying for disability could have an effect on your benefits.
Only Social Security can tell you if his income will affect your benefits and any changes in your marital or income status has to be reported to the SSA within a short period of time after the change.
But you can make an inquiry at SSA if you know the gross/net income of your future husband before you make the plunge.
Here are some links with information that may help you understand how it could affect your future benefits. You only have to read the portions that apply to the type of disability you receive.
