Social Security Survivor Benefits?

My father died when I was 12 which was 2 years ago. Do I receive any money until I'm 18?

It isn't going to go directly to you. It will go to your guardian/surviving parent to help pay for raising you. Your guardian has probably been receiving it all along. Being a minor you are going to have to talk to the person that is raising you about this. If that person isn't receiving anything they should go and talk to the people in your local Social Security Office. To me it sounds like you think you should be receiving the money, and that just doesn't happen with minors.

Actually, in some states, such as Missouri. The child can get it in their name at age 17, as in Missouri you are considered an adult at 17.

Normally, you receive it until your 18 birthday, or until the month you graduate from high school, whichever happens last. But, if you are disabled or certain other qualifications, it can be even longer. You will need to call social security to ask them for your specific case.
