Social Security and Child Support?

If a child is receiving child support from the Social Security Administration, because the father is on Social Security will the father begin receiving the amount back for child support once the child is no longer eligible? Once the child turns 19?

Only SSA can answer your question. You can call or set an appointment with the local SSA office to address your question.

The father will have to be the one asking questions and as stated - only the social security office can give anyone correct answers.

Generally speaking, support payments for children do/may not change the amount received by the parent, so when child support stops there may not be a change in the payment to the parent.

But - as stated - only the SSA can give anyone a correct answer to their questions.
