Sofa Color Advice?

I just bought a combination of Sun Ban chocolate brown and beige curtains. Basically, one curtain is chocolate brown and the other one is beige. I am planning to use in an alternate manner in my living room. I already have a carpet with red as a dominating color with other colors of cream and light grey. I also have a white side table. Which color sofa upholstery should work the best? My wall color is very light yellow. Also, everything is geometric. So should the sofa upholstery be floral or plain?

P.S. - I also have green and red bean bags.

It should be plain! I'd go for a dark colour like a black or super dark auburn.

You have a variety of colors in your room.

Your sofa should be a solid color and not one with florals or prints on it.
Since your carpet is red, gray and cream color you would need a darker sofa to stand out in your room and to blend the colors together.

A ban chocolate brown, very dark brown, or black would be the best choice for your color combination. This would tie the curtains and rug together nicely. Plus, you can add a few red throw pillow to the couch to make it go with your rug.
